Ngonidzashe Emmanuel Makusha  Professional Athlete- LI NING

Ngonidzashe Makusha is from Seke Chitungwiza, a small town located on the outskirts of Zimbabwe’s capital Harare. He grew up with four siblings and was enrolled in a local primary school at the age of six. Ngoni went on to attend secondary school at Mandedza high, a boarding school in the rural part of Seke.

He continued at Mandedza for his advanced level education before transferring to Churchill Boys. At Churchill Boys his studies concentrated in economics , geography and management of business .

Ngoni was recruited by Florida State University in 2007 to run for the school’s Track and Field team. He remembers the day he was accepted, “my dreams of becoming a professional athlete started to come true when Florida State University, one of the best schools in the states with good academics and a very good sporting culture accepted me to study economics.” In 2011, Makusha graduated from FSU with a B.S. in Applied Economics and in the same year became a professional athlete endorsed by Li Ning, one of the leading sports brand companies from China.
